Most often, pathological tooth mobility occurs with periodontitis and periodontal disease:
• Periodontitis is an inflammatory disease of the periodontal tissues, often the result of advanced gingivitis.
• Periodontal disease – this disease occurs due to sclerotic changes in the bone, there is also a decrease in the alveolar septa. As a result, the necks of the teeth are exposed and, over time, the teeth begin to loosen.
Tooth loosening can be the result of diseases such as diabetes, psoriasis, arthritis, and thyroid disease.
